Two ways to send anything
Stream a file live, device to device - or let us host it so the link outlives your tab. Pick the lane that fits what you are sending. Every transfer is encrypted, either way.
Straight from your device to theirs
The share link is live the instant you pick a file - nothing has to finish uploading first. Files stream directly between browsers while your tab is open, with no size cap.
- Unlimited file size
- Nothing stored on a server
- End-to-end encrypted
- Instant link - no upload wait

We host it - they download anytime
Drop your files with us and share a link that outlives your tab. Recipients download whenever they're ready, even days later. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest - we hold the key, wrapped in AWS KMS, so a lost link is still recoverable. Upgrade to Zero-Knowledge and the key never touches our servers: private even from us, but lose the link and the file is gone for good.
- Link works after you close the tab
- 3 GB free · 50 GB on Plus
- Expiry, passwords & limits
- Download receipts

End-to-end encrypted file sharing
Every transfer is encrypted. Peer-to-peer files are end-to-end encrypted and stream directly between browsers, so they never touch our servers. Hosted files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM and stored encrypted at rest. Turn on Zero-Knowledge mode and the encryption key never reaches us - private even from Transferify.
Frequently asked questions
How do I send large files for free?
Open Transferify, drop in your files, and share the link - no account needed. Instant peer-to-peer transfers have no size limit; hosted links are free for files up to 3 GB.
Is Transferify encrypted?
Yes. Peer-to-peer transfers are end-to-end encrypted and stream directly between browsers. Hosted files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before upload and stored encrypted at rest.
Do recipients need an account to download?
No. Anyone with the link can download - there is no sign-up and nothing to install. Recipients just open the link in their browser.
What is the maximum file size?
Instant peer-to-peer transfers have no size limit - the file streams straight from your device to the recipient's. Hosted links are 3 GB on the free plan, 50 GB on Plus, and unlimited on Premium.
How long do transfer links last?
Hosted links auto-expire on a schedule you pick - 1 or 2 days on the free plan, up to 30 days on paid plans - or once a download limit is reached. Peer-to-peer links stay live only while your browser tab is open.
Is Transferify really private and zero-knowledge?
Peer-to-peer files never touch our servers. Hosted files are encrypted on your device; on the free plan we hold the key wrapped in AWS KMS so links stay recoverable, and with Zero-Knowledge mode (paid) the key never reaches us, so we cannot read your files.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Transferify runs entirely in your browser - there is nothing to download or install, for you or the person receiving the files.
What is the difference between instant and hosted transfers?
Instant transfers stream the file directly to the recipient while you are both online, with no upload wait and no size cap. Hosted transfers upload the file first, so the link keeps working after you close your tab and the recipient can download later.
