About Transferify

Transferify is a free, encrypted file-transfer service that runs entirely in your browser. Send files of any size straight to someone else's device, or share a hosted link that keeps working after you close your tab - with no account required to get started.

Two ways to send anything

Every transfer runs in one of two lanes. Instant peer-to-peer transfers stream a file directly from your device to the recipient's over an encrypted WebRTC connection - nothing is stored on a server and there is no size limit. Hosted transfers encrypt the file on your device, upload it, and give you a link that outlives your tab so the recipient can download later. Compare the two, side by side, on the features page.

Encryption you can rely on

Peer-to-peer transfers are end-to-end encrypted, so a file is readable only by the sender and the recipient. Hosted files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they are uploaded to storage in the EU (AWS, Frankfurt) and are kept encrypted at rest. On the free plan we hold the file key wrapped in AWS KMS, so a lost link is still recoverable; switch on Zero-Knowledge mode - a paid upgrade - and the key never reaches our servers, so we cannot read your files. You can start sending straight away with an anonymous session - no sign-up, and no app to install for you or the person receiving the files.
